Malus Coming Into Flower

Here are a few photos taken of 3 Malus that I have just coming into flower.

A few other Spring photos to enjoy too.

Coltsfoot Accent

Nothing like a sunny day to get the most out of this Coltsfoot accent.

Fuji Flowers

Grabbed a few photos of my Fuji Cherry today. Had to be today as this year sees it pushing leaves after the flower very quickly. It’ll need a trim after flowering but the vigour this year seems to be even stronger than previous years.

Yesterdays Walk under Blue Sky

Some may think it strange to mention a blue sky. but it’s a real rarity here! I think it’s now safe to say that Spring has arrived. Plenty of flowers to share. Here’s the usual offering of photos to entice you to the Ards Peninsula.

Happy St Patrick’s Day

Happy St Paddy’s Day Folks

Beautiful sunny day here, snapped a few of the flowers in my Dad’s garden.

Ume or Yumie?

More photos from Owen taken on his visit to a Traditional Japanese Restaurant and Tea House where many Ume or Japanese Flowering Plum were on display. I have a real soft spot for flowering bonsai and this is just special. Food looks great too, Yumie 🙂

Fuji First Flowers

I took these photos back on Friday when I noticed that my Fuji Cherry, tucked away in the Tunnel, was starting to flower.

Winter Bloom

A few photos taken around my parents home. My Dad’s a real plant lover and has the greenest fingers of anybody I’ve ever met. He could make a fence post shoot roots. 🙂 There’s always colour in the garden somewhere if you are willing to look.

and finally, Mum’s Christmas Cactus.

Flowering Cotoneaster!

I spotted this Cotoneaster had a few flowers opening, rather strange for December, but then, this has been a very strange year indeed!

A Strange Combination

I thought that this was a strange combination of colour in my flowerbed.

A Japanese Maple in Autumn reds, a Rhododendron in Flower and a Fuschia in the back covered in flowers.
