Excellent collecting ground that you fellows enjoy!
Andy Smith makes the point in his book, “Wild for Bonsai,” that the *first* thing to look for is an environment that is going to produce the sort of trees you want. For him, it’s usually rock outcroppings; for you, a bog fills the bill nicely.
And around here — well, haven’t found it yet.
