Wild Weekend?!

A wild weekend used to  involve alcohol and woman, now it’s bonsai and the odd bottle of Red Vino, 7 in the end I think 🙂

Saturday I spent hosting a Bonsai School for 20+ in my garage. Peter snart from Willowbog was kept busy between 9am and 6pm in all aspects of pruning deciduous bonsai.

Sunday I helped Peter out with his beginners workshop. This finished at 6pm and after a quick bite to eat he got to work on carving a Yew for Stephen. Nobody needed rocking to sleep, I can tell you!

We packed the van this morning and he currently on the way back to Willowbog Bonsai for a well deserved rest. Thanks for a great weekend Peter.

I’ll elaborate more here over the next few days. I’ll even post a few pics of my latest acquisitions 🙂

  1. Just want to say how much I enjoyed the school on Saturday mate. Please pass on thanks to Peter for the teaching and bringing over supplies – I’m very happy with my three purchases (even if you did encourage Jamie to buy the deshojo I had my eye on =) After losing out to Roy on the willow, I’ll not make the same mistake of dithering when October comes round!) Thanks to you also Ian for the effort involved in hosting the event! Shame I couldn’t make the workshop, still no baby!

    • 🙂 Best to lift what you like and put it back when you’ve made your mind up lol. I’m sure Peter will be reading this when he recovers from the trauma! I have added plenty of pics on the NIBS Site of both days. Not adding them all here!!

The wee one will come when he/she is ready. Make sure you let us know the result so to speak. Maybe see you this Friday at the meeting.
