Phil had been eyeing up this Larch for a while and eventually took the plunge and brought it home from Willowbog after the BSA exhibition.
He brought it down to my place last week for a few photos in the sun and for a little trim.

Nice one Phil, although I didn’t realise you allowed him the use of sharp implement’s Ian lol’s. He look’s like the cat that got the cream, nowt like a new tree to play with in the spring, I’m green with envy. Hope you both have had a good easter weekend.

He’s lucky I didn’t see it first! 😉 Seriously, very nice tree.
I know very well the “eye it for weeks, then take the plunge” process. 🙂

I have always liked this tree and seriously considered keeping it for my collection but I already have a couple of half decent larch [ the truth really, of course , is that Jean would not let me !! ] I am sure that the tree will give you a lot of pleasure over the years Phil

Congratulations to the new owner! This is a stunning larch. I am amazed at the quality of Japanese Larch you collect in N. Ireland, considering that it is not a native species.

This one hails from Scotland originally but still not a native. Many good yamadori to be found in the highlands there.
