Stephen, Ben and Michael came to my home on Saturday to do a little repotting. I was doing a few trees of my own and it’s good to have company, advice and extra hands available.
Stephen brought two trees with him, an Alder, and a Korean Hornbeam.

The hornbeam does look very slightly over potted now, but I reckon that the tree would benefit from an inch or two more ramification which will then make for a better balance between tree and pot ??

Yeah, that’s what we were saying as well afterwards, especially with a trunk as heavy and squat as this.
