I’m a firm believer in supporting your local business. Having seen these turntables and bending bars, I thought it was well worth giving this site a plug here on the blog for those of us in the UK, and I suppose further afield too. Click on the gadgets 4 Bonsai image to visit the site.
Well at some point during the night I past the 500,000 blog hits here on bonsaieejit.com. It’s actually at 509,000 by the time I got home from work! I vaguely remember my nephew saying, ‘ You’ll hit 500,000 in no time’, when I hit 10,000. I laughed at him!
It’s not really a bonsai diary any more, although I still use it as such. It’s become a bit of a one stop shop for bonsai on the internet, new videos, good blogs, interesting articles and events, etc. I do my far share of reblogging and sharing, but isn’t that what bonsai is all about, sharing and friendship, oh, and wee trees 😉
I have had hits from 163 countries across the world, the latest being Curacao [look it up!]
I have made 1214 blog posts and of late, these have been daily. I honestly think I’m getting a little OCD about it ❗
So many new bonsai friends, I only wish I had the money to travel the world and meet you all. As usual, any suggestions of future content, ideas etc, will all be well received.
Next update will be 1 million hits it took 2 years to get half, it’ll be interesting to see what happens.

I think this might be the UK’s best kept secret! Which is a shame as all these trees need to be sold and as many folk as possible need to attend to make it a success. I never had the pleasure of meeting Manuel before his passing, but every single person who has had contact has had nothing but good things to say about him. His widow simply can’t look after such a large collection and all these trees need new homes. A rather large legacy.
I was chatting to Dean, who has done a fantastic job of getting these trees up on the internet for everyone to browse before the auction on 2nd March. I offered to plug the auction here and also show some of my favourites from the list. He was delighted that I would be helping to raise the profile of the auction. So here you go. Thought I would share this link to the new website/blog for Eda Uchi Kai. Looking back through their meeting photos it is plain to see what a high standard of bonsai this club has aspired too. Well worth a follow I think.
Just got a message from WordPress to say happy second anniversary for my blog.
Two years!! Hard to believe. It was slow to gain momentum but then about 10 months in, things surprisingly took off. I reckon at my current rate of hits I’ll see 500,000 hits in about a month which is truly staggering.
