Better View

I was sorting out a little path that leads to my display benches in the garden a few days ago and I decided to remove a gate and trellis to allow for a better view as you enter the area. I was amazed at just how much better it looks now instead of the trees being caged away!

Maple Defoliation

Stephen came down to my place on Saturday to get his Maple sorted. The canopy was extremely full and the inner branches would start to suffer unless we did a partial defoliation. This was it before we started.

As you can see we had a few other with us making the most of the day.

Look at the mess he made of my carpet.

Is that them all?

The after shot. Light now penetrates the canopy and will help maintain vigour on those inner branches.

This video shows this tree back in February being repotted.

Got to Laugh !

I met Paul over at Willowbog at the BSA show in 2012 and we keep in touch via Facebook.

He posted this photo of his Finger after a fight with his dremel.

He made this comment…

This was followed by a few sympathetic comments from friends, then his wife Emma struck, 9th comment down 🙂

This was closely followed by a few other bonsai folk who in true banter gave it to him.

ScreenHunter_37 Jun. 16 12.54I don’t like to laugh at other peoples misfortune, but Emma, well done, I near spat my tea out when I read that one 🙂

Thanks for being a good sport Paul and letting me post this too.
