Full House, or Should I Say Garage!

This was my garage today during a club Bonsai School. Once I get time to draw breath I’ll post more photos!

Neighbours weren’t too impressed with the parking either!! 🙂

All Set

Spent a few hours with Stephen yesterday sorting out my garage to get ready for the Willowbog Bonsai School that’s being held this weekend. I wish I could have a garage full of crap like everybody else instead of this constant clearing out cycle. Had a laugh with Stephen as I kept throwing stuff up into the rafters and hiding crap under cloth covered tables. I love it really.

You can just see the wheels of the lawnmower under the cloth 😀 It’s sitting beside the kitchen sink!!

Bonsai Thief caught !

They got the ‘Bar Steward’ 🙂 Click on the Image to read the whole story of how they caught the Bonsai Bandit 🙂

Stolen Tree Ft Myers Florida

I know I’m UK based but my stats for this blog tell me I have a number of viewers in Florida. Therefore I thought I’d do my little bit to publicise this theft. This was posted on the IBC Forum  Some @r$ehole just walked into a show and lifted the front door display tree and walked out, bold as you like!

This is the tree/s a group of Brazilian Raintrees.

Caught on CCTV but as usual, it’s poor quality.

This is a link to a local news story about the theft that has more details and who to contact if you spot the tree. NEWS-PRESS.COM

If they catch the guy they should stick those big spines from a Brazilian Raintree under his fingernails!!

#BTBroadband!!

For those of you across the UK who, like me, have had a shitty day with your BT Broadband dropping out, this clip on YouTube is just for you..

How to Fix your Broadband

I only changed to BT last week, grumble, grumble…….

Weekend Preparation

Getting ready for the Willowbog Bonsai School next weekend. Many things need to be done to make it run smoothly but the most important task has been completed 🙂

Knackered!!

My Sunday walk took me up Cavehill in Belfast. It’s been a while since I walked here and I forgot what a lung buster it is. I haven’t been fit enough to exercise much lately and this was a shock to my system. While most of the UK has been basking in sunshine this weekend we have had heavy rain, but sometimes this has a beauty of its own.

View before we entered the clouds, Belfast Harbour.

Maybe in 20 years time. Too young to collect.

Most of the Hawthorn have lost their leaves but it looks to have been a great year for berries.

Up top, not a lot to see!!

Gorrillas in the mist… my two brothers 🙂

More Autumn colour, and I don’t mean the cattle!

Bonsai Culture for Beginners

Roy found this book in a second hand book shop and lent it to me for a read. I wanted to read it more for the history of bonsai in the UK rather than to actually learn anything.

Anybody ever see it before?

The author Mr JR Hartley…. no sorry it’s Mr HJ Larkin 🙂

The pick of the photos.

I’ll let you know if I pick up any pearls of wisdom.
