Love this little rose, an old variety originally from China with a strong scent. Potted in a Stone Monkey Pot.

I’m sorry that I don’t have all trees pictures before and after ( do not know how it is happen)
Not long now. Here’s hoping I get a press pass 🙂
Here’s the Photography & Social media policy for Bonsai Europa.
Photography
All photography and video is permitted however please be aware that many are wishing to see the show without having to waltz around photographers lining up for the ‘perfect’ shot. Please be courteous when photographing the exhibition. No Tripods as they cause a hazard and inconvenience other visitors. Please ask if you wish to photograph a demo artist with a flash as this can be both dangerous and off-putting.
Social media
This is a polite request that visitors do not post social media updates of individual trees until the event has closed on Sunday evening. Group photos and ‘general views’ are encouraged and a special Instagram frame for ‘selfies’ will be available for instant updates.
I posted about 5 weeks ago that I’d taken some cutting of some mini/super mini roses, with a 99% success rate they have been potted on and are looking great. A bit of bottom heat in an electric propagator works wonders.
This was them after 3 weeks.
And potted up. Two weeks now from this was taken and they’ve really pushed on. Delighted with results.
Not one to miss an opportunity, I woke up a few days ago to hear next door’s gardener ripping out all the plants from their garden. I went out and had a word and managed to salvage three azaleas, a Potentilla and a Euonymous. Azaleas are quite tasty 🙂 They’ve been cut back hard every 2 years for the last 15 years Better with me than in a skip 🙂
A great Accent session yesterday, probably one of the most enjoyable sessions I’ve ever had in my garage come workshop, and there’s been many! A worthwhile endeavour I think with great feedback from the participants. After a learning session combining powerpoint and a selection of accents and plants, the guys got stuck into to creating their own kusamono, shitakusa and kokedama. Great to see them using what they had learned to select plants and then create their own pieces.
Here are some photos of the day and of the planting they produced. Kusamono are just in basic training pots for now.
