After our visit to Timpany Ben invited us down to his home for a look around his trees. I hope he was ok with the fact that Stephen and I spent more time looking at his garden that at the bonsai! Nothing wrong with his fast growing collection of bonsai, it’s just that I had seen most of them before, but this was a first time in his garden. And what a garden it is. He has only been in the house for 5 years and has created this from scratch (With a lot of help from Emily 😉 ) I think you can tell that he’s a Gardener by trade, obviously a good one! The Alpine rock garden was fantastic, especially with the water feature. Some amazing plants in his beds, oh, and a few nice bonsai too 🙂
Bugger all to do with bonsai but worth 5 minutes on your social browsing time!

This little viola self seeded in my Equisetum scirpoides. It looks like a beautiful Princess sitting on the Iron Throne 🙂 Sorry Game of Thrones reference, one of my favourite TV shows.
I have 3 Alliums small enough for accents. I’ve been trying to get them named as the original owner didn’t keep the label.
This one is about to flower. I think, and I’m by no means certain, that it’s Allium Mairei Var. Amabile. We shall see if I’m right!
I see lots of people posting images online of their Hawthorn in flower. I haven’t long to wait either 🙂
A few that have sort of looked after themselves mostly with native grasses, ferns etc. I love the wild unkempt look.
Only joking but my place is starting to look like one with the amount of accents I have been propagating. I opted to have a tidy up/clearout in one of the tunnels and have put in a few makeshift benches. This allowed me to move some accents around so I could see exactly what I had.
