A Few From Yesterday

A few photos from Yesterday’s exhibition. I will expand more when I have time. Off to the show again now.

Show Set Up Day Three

Final staging last night, all ready for visitors today.

Show Set Up Day Two

Last night saw up back up at the Centre finishing off the backdrop framing and getting the cloth on. What a difference cloth makes and a backdrop is so important to see the trees at their best.

I took a few snaps during the evening just to prove who was doing the work. As you will see, Phil the Fingers was in action. A few trees went up with us, dirty pots and all. They will be cleaned up  tonight during staging. Tree shots aren’t great as the light was poor, better to follow  over the weekend.

Bonsai Days Munakata Exhibition

I’ve linked to this blog before but I’m doing it again. Not often we have the pleasure of a blog from Japan written in English.

This is the bonsai Days Blog showing two posts with trees presented at Munakata Exhibition.

My favourite is this Pine. Enjoy.

Sagami Exhibition Japan

Whilst everyone is in Shohin mode I thought I would share these photos from the Sagami Exhibition shared via Yama-chan Blog

9th Higo Gayu-kai exhibition

More great photos shared from the Bonsai Days Blog. This time they are from the 9th Higo Gayu-kai Exhibition. A club with some great bonsai. For more information about some of the displays shown and to see who won the public vote, visit Bonsai Days.

Best of British Bonsai 2013

Looks like Best of British 2013 could be interesting next year with the event now taking place at Gardeners World Live and the associated large crowds attending.

I had 3 trees provisionally accepted but the changes now make it impossible for me to attend. The date no longer suits and the extended length of the show added a lot of extra expense to a trip from N. Ireland. Guess I’ll have to wait until the next one or maybe consider giving Noelanders a go!!

For all those lucky enough to live within driving distance, enjoy, and take plenty of photos 🙂
