No Mark, Pines respond best in pure grit or pumice if you can get it cheap enough. They are top dressed in Sphagnum to help retain the moisture levels.

Yes but not for long Piotr, just until the worst of the weather is over. These being collected early will a little bit more TLC than ones lifted later on.
