When you say trim, you mean all or most of the extending growth??
Have you any articles on hawthorn care??

Yes Bry, From personal trial and error, I find that when you are on top of the initial extension growth, you get a good second and even third flush. Ramification builds up quickly. If you let it extend to much it also gets fat very quick and can ruin the look.

Thanks for that… Need to book an hour in when the kids have gone to bed to do a once over on mine then. The extensions are now around 3-4″ long…
It’s a big tree, you could say I jumped into the deep end 🙂
