I have mentioned more than once that Tsuga heterophylla, Western hemlock , is one of my favourite species to use for bonsai. The species is a native of the western half of the United States of America and has been used a forestry tree for many years in this country. I came across this photo of one of my trees recently and was quite interested to see how it had developed .
